SMOKING and TEETH
Smoking and tobacco use is very harmful for the mouth. These losses can be listed as follows:
. Tile residues or dark-brown spots accumulate on the teeth.
. Red colored inflammatory formations are observed in the palate.
. Prevalence of gum disease.
. Bad bad smell.
. Black hairy tongue image.
. Mouth tissue disorders (oral lesions).
. Gingival recession.
. Oral cancer.
One of the biggest damages of tobacco is oral cancer. In general, 75% of oral cancers were found to be smoking and alcohol. If the person stops smoking, the risk of oral cancer decreases immediately and significantly. After 10 years of smoking, the risk of oral cancer is equivalent to that of a non-smoker.
Detection of oral cancer;
· Painless, unusual swelling, lump and swelling in the mouth and neck.
· Red and white areas in the mouth.
· Repeated bleeding from the mouth or throat.
· Difficulty in chewing and chewing.
Regular dental check-ups are important in early diagnosis. If there is an abnormal tissue change, a biopsy is taken and diagnosed. If there is an abnormal tissue change in the mouth, you should consult your physician immediately.
How do you detect oral cancer? You are at high risk if:
· Smoking and tobacco use.
· Excessive alcohol consumption.
· Exposure to continuous sunlight.
· Lip biting, cheek chewing habit.
Poorly made prostheses.
Some early signs:
· Pain in the face, neck and mouth that do not heal within 2 weeks.
· Swelling, lumps or blisters on the lip, gums or other mouth regions.
· Formation of white, red or dark areas.
· Repeated bleeding in the mouth.
CANCER TEST IN EASY STEP:
. HEAD-NECK Refer to your head and neck in the mirror. The left and right sides of the face should have the same shape. Check for bubbles or lumps on only one side of your face.
. FACE check your skin. Are there color, shape changes, new formation or painful areas?
. Check the NECK side and front edges with finger. Do you feel a sensitive area?
. LIP Do you notice any color change or painful area when you lower your lower lip? Check your lower lip with your finger, check again. repeat the same procedure for the upper lip.
. Are there white, red, dark spots on the inside of the SIDE cheeks? You can check for swelling or a painful area by checking with your thumb and thumb.
. DAMAK try to see your palate. Is there swelling, tenderness, discoloration?
. Take the language out of your language and check the color and surface structure. Look to the right, left, top and bottom.
